Zafirah Azmi joined us at Xeraya Capital as an Analyst, Investments in January 2013 and became an Associate, Investments in 2016. Prior to Xeraya, she had a business internship at Khazanah Nasional, where she focused on research and investment strategy in the life sciences space. She had a brief stint serving for Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, where she assisted in managing a nationwide programme of rubber re-plantation in the northern part of Malaysia. She also authored and co-authored several publications on Punica granatum.

Zafirah graduated from University of Malaya with a Master of Science in Research, where she majored in Plant Biotechnology, and she holds a BSc in Industrial Biotechnology from University of Selangor, where she was on the Dean’s List.
